1996 Siverado Turn signals

The rear turn signals are not working on a 1996 Chevy Silverado. The fronts work fine but the rear will not work at all. I have checked the bulbs, flasher and fuses and all are in working order. Could it possibly be the switch in the steering column? Thank you

Does the 4 way flasher work in rear? You say break lights and lights work fine with headlights on or off?

Sorry to reply so slowly but I was told that the problem was in the electronic circuit boards in the tail lights so I replaced both of them and it solved the problem. I appreciate you responding to my question and again I apologize for responding so slowly. BTW the truck is a 91 model.
