I replaced the lower intake gasket. Put it back together. Got a compression stroke. Turn the rotor button toward Number 1. Now there is no fire going to the plugs.

I TAKE IT YOU GOT ON THE COMPRESSION STROKE ON #1 CYLINDER?

IF YOU WERE "BUMPING" WITH THE STARTER TO MOVE THE PISTON, MAYBE YOU PASSED IT?

I USUALLY PULL #1 SPARK PLUG AND THEN RE-INSTALL IT IN, WITH ABOUT 2 THREADS HOLDING IT

I THEN ROTATE THE ENGINE WITH A RATCHET OR A WRENCH (IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION) UNTIL I HEAR THE COMPRESSION STARTING TO "HISS" BY MY "LOOSE" #1 PLUG

I NOW KNOW I'M "BEGINNING" THE COMPRESSION STROKE

I AM NOT TO TOP DEAD CENTER "TDC" UNTIL I

CONTINUE TO ROTATE THE CRANK UNTIL MY TIMING MARKS ARE ON "ZERO"

STOP!

THIS IS NOW TDC!

DROP THE DISTRIBUTOR IN UNTIL THE ROTOR POINTS TO #1 WIRE

EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO PULL IT OUT, ROTATE A BIT, UNTIL IT'S RIGHT!

GO BACK AND CORRECTLY INSTALL #1 SPARK PLUG

THIS HELP ANY?

KEEP US POSTED, OTHERS MAY JUMP IN TO ASSIST
