Power assist is gone

I have a 1996 chevy s10 and the power assist on the brakes went out I think I have narrowed it down to a vacume problembut not sure if I am right when I push on the brakeit makes a sound like air going through a pipe

Check the brake booster if its leaking-

Its located right behind the brake master cylinder where you put brake fluid in-its the round thingy that has a vacuum hose on it-
