Was the system empty when you started? How many ounces did you put in?Also what are your high and low pressures at idle.

The low side read 7psi with it running?Or shut off?We also need the high side pressures. Sounds like there was charge in the system and you guessed how much you needed to put in.

Heres the problem you cant tell how much charge is in the system by pressure it goes by the weight you put in. You could be under or over charged and not even know by the pressure your readings. You dont know how much you had to start with in the system and then you go and add almost a pound and half. You could be under charged or over charged and not even know it. The only thing that gauge is going to tell you is the operating low side pressure.
