Burnt fuse able link between alternator and starter replaced it start the car up and it burns out again have had alternator tested three times and they say its good, please advise on what I can try next

That feeds power to the alternator only so if its burning out the alternator is bad. That's the only thing that I have seen blow those. The starter doesnt get feed power thru it. Does it blow out the fusebale link as soon as the engine starts?

When I start the car it takes about 3 sec to burn the fuse I in plugged the 3 wire plug from bottom of alternator and it does not burn fuse.

Its sounding more and more like a bad alternator sounds like its shorting out inside. If it was one of the power feeds shoting out they would blow a fuse on the inputs. Have you made sure none of the power feeds into the alternator isn't shorted to ground?Do you have a multi meter to do some testing?

With the key in the run position see if there is power to red or orange wire with a black stripe to the S terminal of the alternator? Also if the brown wire to terminal F has power to it?

Is that on the alternator it self or on the plug because I don't have the alternator on the car. Testing the three wires on the plug one red wire and the other two r small brown wires and with the switch on I have power in the red and one of the brown wires

When I got home today I retested the three prong wire and all three wires red and two brown have the same power in them

Only two of the wires to the connector with the wires going to it should have power. Is the connector labeledwith terminal letters?

The plug is labeled red wire s and the two brown wires are F L all three have powerin them

Terminal L is the ground sde of the charge light bulb so that should have no voltage on it.

Why would I have power in that wire and if I cut that wire what would happen?

The alternator supplies ground to that wire to turn on the battery light when the alternator isn't putting out too low of voltage.I don't know why it has voltage without checking some things. Without that circuit your battery light won't work correctly.

Unhook the negative battery cable and see if you haveconnitty bbetween terminals L and F or L and S?
