1997 Cadillac tranmission trouble?

I have a 96 sts and I thought the transmission was going out due to the mechanic finding a handful of metal shaving in the transmission pan while having it serviced. But it only acts up after it warms up and once it reaches 60mph so is the overdrive out and making it jump and shake or could it be one of the transmission cyliniods I have heard rumors that cadillac transmissions dont have good ground wires for them so could it possibily be that? Please help me!

Feels like it comes out of gear when trying to shift to 4th then will kick back into 3rd and stay that way so basically it wont shift into 4th at all and sometimes acts up in 3rd when I am in drive but if I shift it into 3rd manually it wont act up

This trans has internal part falure.
