Have replaced fuel pump 3 times in 2 months, what is causing pumps to fail?

How are they failing? If they test good electrically but the motors don't run, the impellers are likely locking up from microscopic debris in the tank. The fix is to have the tank steam-cleaned at a radiator repair shop, or go through a half dozen pumps until all that debris is collected.
