will a 98 g6 1.6l gear box fit straight into a 95 1.3l?

It would depend on the model of the transmission.

its a manual gearbox if that helps!

Manual would be an easier fit but there are various trans model so the best thing is to check with your local junkyard. They should be able to advise correctly. Even if the trans fits, you might need to replace the transmission mount.
