I have a 95 4runner. The oil pressure gets very low when truck gets warm Heard some valve rattle too but went away when I put it in overdrive. I checked the oil after it cooled and it was fine. Any ideas?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge first, if low then possible oil pump. But could also be main bearing wear.

Modern cars use an electrical oil pressure sender, these can go bad. A mechanical gauge screws into the electrical sender hole, rotate engine and you will get an actual OP reading.

Yes a garage will have to do this, my concern is that you are hearing rattling, a sign of low pressure.

Toyota uses a oil pump that has a bypass spring, these can go bad causing low or little oil pressure.
