Why my power steering "heavy" when I'm slow down the speed and stop? It is "active" when I'm speeding. Why? The power steering pump is at normal condition, no leaking. Could anyone assist on this?

If you had electronic variable orfice it should work more assist in the parking lot. Less while on the freeway etc so if you rev the engne to about 3,000 rpms while sitting still does the steering work better?

Thank you Saturntech9. Further to my question, this is Suzuki Vitara SE416 model. When my car in "Parking" or "Stop" mode, it is very "heavy" on my steering. I'm wondering no leaking, and other related power steering part are at normal condition. Hope to receive your reply soon. Tks!

Sounds like you have a bad power steering pump or rack and pion. You will need to have a flow pressure test done on your power steering pump to determine which is bad.
