My blower motor recently quit on me. I troubleshot it with a multimeter and it was faulty. I replaced it but afterwards I have negligible air flow from the vent. That and I cannot get the switch to change from vent to defrost or any other setting. It's getting on toward winter and I really do need the defrost to work. I have checked the resistor and it is fine. There were quite a bit of leaves behind the resistor but they have been removed. I'm at a loss right now.

There are vent doors that move to change the air flow direction. They aren't moving. I can't remember for sure, but I think this has a vacuum actuated system. Check to see if there are any vacuum hoses off or damaged from when you did the work. Also, check to make sure there is a vacuum supply from the engine to the control panel on the dash.

This problem has nothing to do with the blower motor resister.
