I have a 95 Pontiac Grand Am with a 2.3L Quad 4. I trying to replace the crank sensor. I have the bolt off and the plug is disconnected. My problem is because of the sensors location under air intake manifold I can't pull it out without the fear of it breaking in two. What can I do to pull the sensor out?

I don't know an easy way to remove. Try rotating the sensor as you pull out on it. On some makes and models, I have tried using a screwdriver to pry up on the flange. Usually the flange is so brittle it just breaks off. I have also tried the screwdriver in the electrical cavity for the connector, pull out. Just some suggestions.

I have heard horror stories about having to remove oil pan, and trying to take sensor out from inside.
