95 Nissan Quest radiator

The right panel on the left side of the radiator is cracked near the top hose, does the whole radiator need to be replaced? Is it possible to put tape over it for temporary fix? Can this cause the acceleration to stop and steering to be hard?

You can replace the top tank only. Taping is not going to work as it is not possible to seal it as the system is under pressure when the coolant heats up. For a temporary fix to get the vehicle, that might might work.

Hard steering would not be affected by this. However I do ot understand what is meant by acceleration to stop.
