does it matter what kinda sparks i use to replace my old ones?

what is the difference between spark plugs u have to gap and spark plugs that require no gapping at all.

An example would be iridium spark plugs, the centre electrode is not the same as the standard plug with a soft core, the iridium core is far more resilient to the erosion of the high voltage spark, standard plugs use a soft metal core that will erode away rather quickly, say 20,000Kms with iridium plugs rated to 100,000km's

Plug charts will offer a variety of plugs from standard to long life, long life are better value in my opinion.
