1995 Kia Sportage. 4 cyl. 5 speed. Driving down the road, car died. Figured it was the head gasket. Gasket was bad. Had head shaved, replaced gasket, timing belt, water pump. Would not start. Seems no fire. Took fuel line off of filter, turned on key, lots of gas. At different stages we have replaced, plugs, wires, distributer coil, fuses, I might be forgetting something, but we have finally replaced the ECU. Still nothing. There seems to be no spark. Is there some kind of reset button or something that I am missing?

When I say that the "car died" I mean that it was travelling at 55 down the freeway and everything just quit. Like it was a timing belt broken. But the timing belt was good and intact. But that is what it acted like.

No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it.

Thanks Rasmataz. I did change out the cam and crank sensors, and the distributor coil. I will check the rest now.
