Have no heat when idling but will past 2000 rpms. Water pump, thermostat new. Flushed heater core still the same.

heater core still clogged. have it pressure flushed

possible but you gave no info on cooling systems issues.
i would start with heater core.

No signs just the heater wont work its not overheating.The mechanic I took it to tried all of these thing still couldnt get it to work so he said that the head gaskets must be bad.
