Windshield wipers turns on when car hits a bump. Whats wrong?

Try trouble shouting by moving the switch slightly to see if it has a short. If nothing happens, check the wiring to the wiper motor.(Possibly loose wiring).

As romyspec recommended, check the switch. However, you may have a short in the steering column. Wiring can get skinned and short. You may need to check there too.
