95 GMC Jimmy wont start

I have a 1995 gmc jimmy that wont start. It has a v6 vortec and its a 4x4 automatic. The alternator is good but it wont turn all the way over. Is it the wiring or something else?

Do you mean it acts like a half dead battery? How old is the battery? You can get it tested. Could be the starter also. Does it do it both hot or cold?

The battery is a few months old. It does it both hot and cold. I had the alternator tested and its good I changed the spark plugs and spark plug wires.

So are you saying it cranks OK but just wont quite start? Let go of starter and it quits?
