headlights will not turn on

check battery to grounds engine and body, may be a bad ignition switch. check ground to headlights.

1995 Geo Prizm 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 95 geo priszm 1.6 ,i turn on the lights and they work but when i push the switch handle back for the high beams they do not work but if i pull the handle back the high beams will work but only for passing,,,,any idea what the problem is?

No one helps anybody anymore unless they get paid ! what happened to help thy neighbor?

I do not know if what I worried about is the same thing with yours.When the low-beams are not turned on the high beams do not work.

What do you mean by 'passing'? 'For a short time' or for 'passing a car'?

Thanks for your reply, but i found out the problem was the turn signal combo switch was bad , a new 1 was about 300 dollars so i went to the junk yard and got 1 for 50 bucks,no intermittant wipers but that is ok at least it will pass inspection now ! Thanks again!

my high beam headlights are not working i cant seem to find a fuse for them or a relay i dont have an owners manual for this Plus the driver side reardoor will not open from inside nor outside the door is unlocked please help thank you

the relay is underhood fuse and relay box. also check yourground by the headlights. as far as the door you'll have to get the panel off inside and use the rod to linkage to open it. then see where either the clip is broken or a rod/rods are not on the latch inside the door.

The high and low beams will not come on but the high beams do work in the flash posititon. I checked the fuses, checked the fusible link next to the battery, and I replaced the headlight relay switch. I thought maybe the selector switch on the column was bad. However, when I turn the headlight switch to the on position the headlight relay switch makes a small click just like it clicks when I pull the switch to the flash position and the lights come on. This makes me think that the headlight switch on the column is O.K. What next?

did you check the dimmer switch for power
