1995 Ford Windstar wont start

Replaced starter. Now it turns over like its trying to start but wont. Checked all the wiring on starter. Pulled fuse to check to see if it would spark when turned over and there is spark.

When we tried to start it would just turn over and not make a sound but the battery and lights worked. Now it sounds like it wants to start but wont

To make sure I understand what you are explaining. The engine would turn over when trying to start it, before the starter was replaced, or would it just click and do nothing?
