Hi! I have a 1995 Ford Explorer 4x4 (Eddie Bauer Edition). I just picked up this vehicle for $600.00 and it is in good condition. The only real problem I have is placing the vehicle in gear front the automatic shifter. The shift indicator in park sets between Park and Neutral. When you place the vehicle in drive it sets in between Drive and 2nd But most of the time you have to pass 2nd and then go back between Drive and Second so the vehicle will shift gears properly. Any ideas on what it could be? My brother-in-law told me it may be the linkage?

Thats what my brother-in-law told me. I am hoping it is a simple fix. But if not I will continue to drive it like this for a few more weeks until I can afford the expensive mechanic bill so they can find the issue. I will let you know if it fixes it. But I need to first find out where the heck it is. Maybe I can get him to help me.
