I was going down the road one day and my truck was shifting normal, then a few days later it was hesitant in 3rd. Then later that night I was driving and it would not shift at all, I think it has gotten stuck in either first or second gear I was wondering if you might have any idea about what it might be. Someone said it could be my shifting linkage but had that checked, ot my torque converter was locked, or my solenoid was bad but I have no clue.

Thanks

If it is staying in 2nd gear, it may be in limp mode. Basically, there is a problem but it will work to get you home or to a shop. First, is the trans fluid clean and full? Has the check engine light come on?

1995 was a transition year from OBD1 to OBD2. Do you know which your vehicle has?

Okay, do the following to check codes. NOTE: Each code is a 2 digit number. You will need to count engine light flashes. The light will begin to flash, pause, then flash again. Count the flashes to get the number.

Cycle the key from off to the run position (engine off) 3 times. The 3rd time, let it in the run position. That should start the process.

Let me know what you find.

The 37 has to do with the lock up torque converter circuit. I have to be honest, at this point I have to ask how much experience you have. This isn't going to be an easy process.
