When driving after a short time the car will shut down. However it will restart but, keeps shutting down. When I restart I have to keep repeating the restart process. I've replaced the coil to no avail and replaced plugs, fuel filter. It has not shut down so bad that I can't nurse it home by restarting Can you advise me possible problem and repair solution.

You haven't included any details we can use to analyze the problem. Which engine do you have? What does "repeating the restart process" mean? To us that means turning the ignition switch. What does "nurse it home" mean? Does it spit and sputter? Do you simply have to hold the gas pedal down 1/4"? What led you to the fuel filter and spark plugs? Does it stall at any speed or just at idle such as when you approach a stop sign? Will it not restart at times unless the engine cools down for a half hour? Has the Check Engine light turned on? If it has, have you checked for diagnostic fault codes?
