My gas pedal has been getting hard wile driving. It won't shut off but when going down the road you accelerate and at about 40 it will kick your foot of the gas pedal and get hard. And I tried cleaning the throttle body. It was gummed up but did not fix problem.

Components inside the ASR box have been damaged. Unplug the ASR Box in your engine compartment. It should be located next to the windshield washer fluid tank. It's a black box that says "ASR" on top. Unplug its wire harness. This will turn on the "Traction Control" light in your dash. But you will be able to go as fast as you want. This will not damage the engine in any way but will disable traction control. Some people actually like the feel of the ride this way better.
