POWER STEERING HARD

Changed the power steering pump and rack and pinion. Cant bleed the air out and resevoir has 4 lines coming from it. Not sure what to do with the extra 2 hoses. Steering stiff

There is a pressure hose to the rack, return line to the pump. There are 2 hoses from the pump to the fluid holder.

It has a hydraulic fan, its got 2 intakes on the pump from the resevoir and 2 coming from the cooler. I cant figure out how to bleed it. It has an electric control valve that didnt come with the new pump. I had to take it off of the old one.

The bleeding process is to turn the wheel all the way to the left and hold for about 10 seconds. Do the same to the right. If it persists, you may have other issues.

I have done this. Not sure if I should plug the 3 lines coming out of the resevoir or what to do with the open lines

Dont plug anything. They all need to be hooked up and working.
I think you should go to a parts department at a toyota dealer and get a picture of the system too see where they all go.
