Repect to you guys.
my truck makes a hissing sound when i'm accelerating and looses power going up incline. I tuned it up and had he muffuler system checked out.I even double checked the timing. It sounds like normal except for when driving. It also burns more fuel than before. The only thing I didn't do was checked the compression.
please give me your opinion, i've had this truck for about six years and never had this much problem with it.

Scan for codes andcheck fuelpressure first, then check for a vacuum leak, cracked/broken hoses etc.

Thanks Mr Troy, I tried that too and changed the fuel filter as well. Maybe I missed something so i'll go over it again.
By the way its a toyota 4runner 4x4 3.0 [sr5 ]

Burning more fuel may mean something is screwed up in computer running. What is fuel pressure in psi should be 38-44 psi with a wire jumped between B+ and FP key on engine not running
