Can u help me with this 1994 Bonneville I got?

I have a 1994 potiac bonneville and when I turn it on it idles real high and then it goes down after a while and now it even is starting to cut off while driving. And its real loud and makes my gears like***** when I switch and when I put in drive it accelarates real fast and then sometimes it idles back down. It starts back up alright most of the time, and then start doing it again sometimes sometimes not. What do u think it could be? Its not a SC. It has a 3.8 engine. And I Replaced the TPS but thats it.

And another thing is that when I start my car up the engine light does come on.

If you're saying that the check engine light doesn't even come on for bulb check, then someone may have intentionally disabled it. You need to have it checked for codes and verify that it communicates with a scan tool.
