No gas to carbureator

Replaced fuel filter & gas pump. Started good with no problems. Then after starting it a few times it got sluggish. No gas goes to carburator. Changed out fuel resistor etc. Still no gas to carburator. The truck had been sitting for maybe 4 years & when changing the fuel filter & pump, we never changed the gas. Could the gas be bad and thats the problem why it doesnt get to the carburator?

You changed the gas that has been in the tank for over 4yrs?Thats crazy you should have drained and cleaned the tank especially since you were already replacing the pump etc. When you changed the fuel pump did you replace the pick up screen also?So have you checked to see what the actual fuel pressure is?Not just no fuel?
