Transmission swap

One of the bands broke. We were told the transmission is Japanese and that is the only one that will fit. Wanting to know if any other transmission will fit? My truck is a 4.0 automatic transmission.

Ranger and Mazda are very similar vehicles so a Mazda may fit, unsure though, check with a junkyard they may know.
