Light goes off when I try to start it then it wont start

My 1994 ford f 250 wont start I have a new battery in it but when I turn the key the cab light goes off and it wont even click like it would with a battery.

it wont start no matter what the light goes off when I try to start it then it wont start.

It sounds like you have a bad battery cable connection. I would clean and tighten the battery terminals.
Be sure to see what the condition of the cables are too. See if there is any corrosion that has built up inside them.
