The battery light is on in my Ford Exolorer. I have changed the alternator 3 consecutive times and the light is still on. And every time I take out the negative battery cable while the car is running, the car just dies. Is it the alternators, the battery, or something electrical. Also, the battery light seems to be on every time I change the alternators.

Never disconnect the battery cable with it running you could damage the computer. Do you have a multi meter to do some testing? You will need one to check the power inputs to the alternator.
