WHERE SHOULD MY TEMP GAUGE BE READING

NOT SURE IF MY VAN IS RUNNING HOT OR NOT HAVE OIL AND COLLANT BUT MY NEEDLE LOOKS LIKE IT HAS ELEVATED SOME IN THE PAST WEEK.

If the reading is higher than it normally was, you should be checkng the cooling system. Ensure fans are working correctly and coolant level is correct.

But where on the gauge should the needle be?

I am not sure of the exact position but if it is overheating, the gauge would not stay in one position. Most gauges shows just slightly below the center line.
