94 New Yorker, 3

94 New Yorker, 3.5 engine. Recently replaced the water pump / timing belt, engine ran fine for about a week. Now it runs very rough and I smell raw fuel in the exhaust. The only error code I get is 66-no comm with trans module. Replaced the plugs, wires are not perfect but ok. This problem first occured while driving at highway speed. Lost power and runs very rough. Any suggestions?

Check to make sure the timing didn't jump.

I have already and timing is perfect, still have the front of the engine open, all marks aligned as required. Any other suggestions?
