1994 S-10 pickup runs for maybe 30 minutes then quits. Will not restart. Will run for a couple seconds on ether. If vehicle is allowed to sit for 4 or 5 hours. It starts right up. Fuel filter is new. Fuel pump is about one year old.

Fuel pump pressure is 57 psi when things are running.

Fuel filter is new, fuel pump is 2 years old. Several sensors have been replaced including: TPS, IAC valve, EGR valve, O2 sensor, ign. Module.

Also replaced coil, dist. Cap and rotor.

4.3 liter, vin w CMFI fuel inj. System

When motor quits, it will always start after about 4 to 5 hours.

What do you think is going on?

Next time it won't start, don't wait -recheck the fuel pressure and also look for an ignition spark immediately

Catalytic converter has been replaced with a test pipe,
thanks for your interest.

I may have located the problem myself. I will be replacing some of the fuel pump wiring harness. We will see
