Sepentine belt broke and car was driven without belt for 30 to 45 min. Could this cause transmissin to act up? Also, if belt was not replaced properly, could it cause the transmission problems as well. Any information or ideas you may have would be helpful. Thank you!

Be more descriptive on transmission acting up. If the battery voltage got low enough, that may be the only affect on the transmission that would be noticed. If it was not replaced properly, there may have been other effects aside from a transmission issue, it all depends on what properly is defined as. If it is a northstar, it would not have overheated, as the main drive belt does not drive the water pump.
