Air conditioning/heating not working? What is a heat controller?

I have a 94 cadillac deville. The ac system control won't turn on period. No air or heat is coming out. The orange light at control system is stuck on the defrost button. But when I push any of the buttons nothing happens. Took my car to a service shop and was told I need a "heat controller". Went to a couple auto stores and there's never a "heat controller". What part could this be? A a/c switch? Temperature controller? Please help

First of all, the parts for your automatic temp system is only available from the dealer.
There is aprogrammer which controls all the operations. There is a control head, that is what you are referring to, that sends signals to the programmer.

Call a gm dealer parts and see what is available. With the age, it may not be available anymore new. You may have to search the internet for the part.

If the fuel center works you will have to replace the a/c panel.
