Car will not start

Car will not start sometimes but other times it will. When it does not it has no spark coming to the spark plugs. Then when it does start it will idle for about five minutes then shut off. What would cause it to do that?

Yeah there is no fuel problem. When it does not want to start there is no spark from the plugs. Then other times it will start and idle for a few minutes, then it will just shut off and maybe not start again.
