My jeep sat for 6 months, so the battery died. I bought new battery and jeep has trouble starting, I replaced cap and rotor, replaced spark plugs, spark plug wires. I removed throttle body and cleaned it, along with the 2 sensors attached to throttle body. The jeep still has a hard time starting, and when it does it will only idle for about 15 seconds and then rattle out and die. If I give it gas sometimes it dies right away, much sooner than the 15 seconds. Other times when I give it gas the rpms will raise up, I hold accelerator at 3000rpms for about 3 seconds, but then it will decline back on its own until it dies while my foot is still on the gas.

Did you drain the fuel tank and put fresh fuel in?

It was empty when I left it. I've put in a few gallons of fresh fuel. Should I put in a minimum amount? I will do a new fuel filter today and check fuel pressure with a gauge on Schroeder valve.

My jeep won't idle for longer than 3 seconds now. The fuel pressure gauge is connected and only stays around 10psi and doesn't move during idle or turned off. Is this a guarantee that fuel pump is out or is there another test that I can do on the pump?

You need to make sure the pump is receiving 12v and a good ground. If there is anyplace in the return line that is rubber that you can pinch off you can make sure the regulator isn't blowing off the pressure.
