1993 Infiniti J30 dashlights and taillights

One day our dash lights wasn't working then we noticed the tail lights weren't working either. My boyfriend checked the fuses and he says there is nothing wrong with them so I don't know what the problem could be. What can we do to maybe fix it without going to an auto shop?

The dash and taillights uses the same circuit and problem could be due to a blown fuse, faulty taillight relay or light switch. If you have a test light or DVOM, you could perform tests to diagnose the cause.
