hood release cable is shot and I need to run a new cable. How do I do that.

Did the cable broke at the release lever? What exactly is the problem

The cable is badly frayed at both ends and is so stretched out that it no longer works to open the hood. It simply must be replaced at this point.

You need to try and pull the cable from inside the vehicle-otherwise -you gonna have to go from the front and remove the grill to get to the latch to open it up

Cable runs from cabin through fender to the front. You need to remove some of the clips of the fender liner and pull the cable from front and get it through the pillar where there is a grommet. Use a string attached to lock end to facilitate the installation of the cable.
