While driving on interstate after about 4-5 hours, lost oil pressure and heard ticking loudly(no smoke no leaking tho, pulled off at exit, added 4 additional quarts of oil(prior an oil change on 10-25-12) it was ok for about 10 miles we called it quits so pulled into oreillys and they told us to add lucas oil stabilizerso we did. It seemed to stop ticking? Is where did 4 quarts of oil go? And why did I lose oil pressure?

You lost oil pressure from no oil!

It is either burning it or the return holes are clogged keeping it up in the valve covers.

Not a fan of lucas products at all. Oil has all the additives you need.

Have you kept up on all oil changes?

Have the motor checked for internal damage from driving with no oil
