So a while back in my bronco I would back up and it would make noise like a tin can being kicked. Then a few days later the noise stop. So then I went to go get some wood and hooked a trailer up. On the way up the transmission was slipping. I than turned around after I turned around. It completely stopped moving. I can hit the gas but I cant go anywhere. Please help

Look under the truck and have someone put the truck in gear. If the driveshaft spins then theres probably a broken axle shaft in the rear end. If the drive shaft doesn't turn then the transmission has most likely failed. If so, take the pan off and look for metal, glitter, chunks, and black sludgy stuuf to confirm this

The silver is ground off metal and the gold is burned and ground off metal. Most likely you're going to need a complete rebuild

Regardless of whether it's electronic or mechanical you got some metal damage. I went to this very same thing with my 91 Lincoln with a 5 L high output V8. The throttle valve cable had broken and have been run that way before I bought it and the transmission was damaged when I got it. I rebuild should include new solenoids, what few there are in the transmission.
