It sounds like these symptoms are related so the fastest way to diagnose this is to find a mechanic with the Chrysler DRB3 scanner. It can be used to test the cruise control servo to see if a circuit is shorted, (which might shut the engine down), and it will show the reason for "last cutout". That can provide a clue as to whether something is affecting the Engine Computer.
