1993 Cadillac Deville Shut down

When car has 4 gal of gas and you are driving and apply brake engine shuts down car will start back up but will shut Dow every time you apply brakes

If this happens when you are low on gas, chances are the sock at the bottom of the fuel pump is partially clogged and not allowing the pump to get gas when it shifts forward.
