What would cause it to miss when accelerating and driving under a load

Have you checked the ignition timing? Or have the coil checked. Are the plugs fouling up? Or can you locate the miss to a particular cylinder?

May be fuel related, clean fuel system and replace filter and also do a scan to check for any fault codes.
