Hello!

I have a '92 JDM GT4 RC.

History: Car worked. I started it to move it and drove it around the block. Parked it. Week later I needed to move it again and it turned over but didn't start. Tested it, tried to jump it, no spark.

The fuel pump works, but it will not spark. Engine gets fuel. We have tested different spark plugs, replaced the igniter, ignition coil, and distributor, all with new parts except for the distributor, which was used. We have recently tried another igniter off a known working MR2, but that has not worked. We have tested the ignition system for leaks. There is a strong 12V going through the entire ignition system including the ECU. Fuses appear good (12V over them as well). Car has two ECU's (aftermarket and stock) both of which have not displayed issues.
We are prepared to try a brand new distributor, but honestly, do not want to put more money into it unless we have to.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

See if the main coi wire sparks to dist if it does then try replacing the rotor cap. May be a bad rotor or dist cap.

Thank you for the input!

We're not seeing a pulse going from the ECU out anywhere. My mechanic figures it is not the distributor as a result.

Are there any other possibilities for the failure that we may have missed?

Thanks!
