1992 Pontiac Transport Windows cooling system and defrost

What mechanical issues may cause the Windows to over frost? When driving especially at night the Windows frost over and will not defrost, I purchased a new thermostat but do not know if that is the cause of the Windows overfrosting in summer like temperatures.

Do you mean the windshield fogs when it is warm out? If so, do you have the HVAC system set on recirculate or fresh air? One other question, is there any smell when this happens that could indicate a leak in the heater core?
