My 92 grand prix alernator regulator needs to be replaced or alternator over all, this was confirmed by autozone. My question is does the alternator has a fuse in the engine compartment and if it does is it labeled with the letters A.I.R. 3.4LT.

There are a couple fuses that feed the alternator. You should just use a test light and test both ends of every one.
Test for power on the main terminal of the alternator with the KEY OFF.
