I need to knoe how to tighten the tention pully on this vehicle (1992 MB 500SL) I had to take it off completely to fix something else and now I can't get the belt back tight? Can you help?

Are you sure you are putting the belt on right? The only time this has happened to me is when I didn't get the belt on right. So no tension was the result. Do you have a diagram to follow? Usually there is 1 under the hood somewhere.
