.I replaced on of the crank sensers the lower one. Does this thing require doing something called syncing the sensers? I guess if you replace one or both im hearing that you have to but not getting a defant. Can I purchase thermal seal at parts store? And how do I figure the amount I need? By cubic inches?

You will need to get both heads checked for warp, bend and cracking, if both heads are serviceable and the cooling system is sound, that is new thermostat, water pump, cleaned radiator, and all tensions are adhered to with total cleanliness with reassembly, there should be no cause for any additives.
